And the melodic journeys are really fresh, clearly influenced by the heavy music of the West, but inspired by the string music and stories of the artist's home; it makes for really welcome songwriting which keeps you interested and engaged. I imagine a cold night in the desert, gazing outside the stone windowframe of a hidden room at the great arm of dark cosmos above. Favorite track: An Empty Hand Has Nothing To Give.

Exclusively recorded, mixed and mastered by Angra Mainyu himself at Hidden Rooms Recordings studio, this release also marks the beginnings of the brand new Hidden Rooms Recordings label located in Sousse, Tunisia, who is also co-releasing the tape alongside Xenoglossy Productions. To celebrate this in a befitting manner and give physical form to the Berber mysticism which permeates AYYUR‘s songwriting, Hidden Rooms Sessions I is presented on a limited edition tape in a handmade high-quality olive wood box, varnished with natural wax and red tissue "haik" inside. sigil carved on the front, and an A3 laminated high-quality poster included within. All of this has been conceived and made in Tunisia, by several local artisans.
